Hario in Uzbekistan
Shavi Coffee Roasters is the official Hario distributor in Uzbekistan. We hold genuine Hario glassware in Tashkent, honour the manufacturer's warranty, keep spare parts on the shelf, and teach your team to brew on it.
A glass company that changed how the world brews
Hario has been making heat-resistant glass in Tokyo since 1921, when it started out supplying laboratories. Its own heatproof glass arrived in the late 1940s, and the first Hario coffee product - the syphon - followed soon after.
In 2005 the company released the V60: a 60-degree cone with a spiral rib and one large hole, which has since become the most widely used pour-over dripper in the world. The idea behind every piece is the same - put nothing between the water and the coffee except glass, air and paper.

The Hario way
Hario is a glass company that happens to make coffee equipment, and that order explains almost everything about it.
King of Glass
The name joins hari, glass, and o, king. It was an ambition when the company took it in 1921, and Hario is today the only heatproof glass maker in Japan still running its own factory.
Truth, goodness, beauty, ease
Shinzenbiraku, the four ideas Hario designs against: is it honest, is it right, is it beautiful, and is it actually pleasant to use. The V60 passes all four, which is why it has not needed redesigning in twenty years.
Laboratory discipline
Hario began by making glassware for laboratories, and that is where the exactness comes from. The V60's 60-degree wall, its spiral rib and its single large hole are specifications, not styling.
A furnace with no chimney
Hario moved to an all-electric melting furnace in 1971, decades before anybody was asked to. The factory has no chimneys.
What we bring to Uzbekistan
V60 pour-over
Drippers in ceramic, glass and plastic in sizes 01 and 02, range servers, paper filters and the classic starter sets.
V60 Switch
Immersion and pour-over in one dripper - steep the coffee, flick the switch, let it drain. The forgiving choice for a busy counter.
Mizudashi cold brew
Fridge-brewed coffee in a glass carafe with a mesh basket. Fill it at closing, serve it all through a Tashkent summer.
Kettles and scales
Buono gooseneck kettles for a controlled pour, and drip scales with a timer so a recipe can actually be repeated.
Grinders and syphon
Hand grinders for home and travel, and the syphon that built Hario's name in coffee - theatre that happens to brew beautifully.
Filters and consumables
V60 paper filters in both sizes, cloth filters and replacement glass - the parts you run out of, kept in stock here.

Why buy from the official distributor
Genuine product
Imported officially from Hario, with the documents to prove it. No grey-market copies, no guessing what the glass is actually made of.
In stock in Tashkent
Held here, not on a boat. A broken server is replaced this week, not in two months.
Warranty honoured here
We stand behind what we sell inside Uzbekistan. If something arrives faulty you talk to us, in your language, in your city.
Training included
We run our own cafes and roastery, so we can show your baristas how to get the best out of every piece - on your coffee, on your water.
Learn it on our counter
Buying a dripper is easy; getting the same cup twice is not. Book a session at our Buyuk Turon coffee shop and we will dial in a recipe on your own coffee and your own water, then write it down so your whole team can repeat it.
Who we supply

Frequently asked questions
Are you the official Hario distributor in Uzbekistan?
Yes. Shavi Coffee Roasters imports Hario officially, holds stock in Tashkent and honours the manufacturer's warranty inside Uzbekistan.
Can I buy one V60, or do I have to order in bulk?
Both. Cafes, shops and offices buy at wholesale prices; anyone can buy a single piece over the counter at our Tashkent coffee shops.
Do you keep paper filters and replacement glass?
Yes. Filters, servers, lids and the other parts that get used up or broken are exactly the ones we keep on the shelf here.
Do you deliver outside Tashkent?
We deliver to cafes in Tashkent ourselves and can arrange shipping to other regions of Uzbekistan. Ask us and we will quote you the terms.
Do you train our baristas on the equipment?
Yes, and it comes with an equipment order rather than as an extra invoice. We would rather your coffee tasted good than sell you a box.
How much does it cost?
Prices are in Uzbek sum, VAT included, and depend on the model and the quantity. Write to us with what you need and we will send a quote.
